LEVEL I - Basic Preparedness For Business Interruption due to
Computer System Failures and Disasters

Broker Resource consultants will:

• Analyze the business dependency on critical computer systems.
• List exposures and estimate risk levels (probabilities).
• Recommend appropriate measures to reduce exposures, such as:

- Firewalls - Anti-virus software - Password protection - Tape backup systems - Disk mirroring systems - Off site storage of backups - Uninterruptable power supplies (battery backup) - User training - Physical security of equipment

• Install selected solution(s).
• Provide written procedures on new methods.
• Train users on new methods and software.
• Follow up to ensure all aspects of the new methods are functioning correctly and will mitigate the
  exposures as expected.
• Provide periodic maintenance of the Plan to incorporate changes in the IT environment.
